Job Summary

Vaughan Metal Polishing Limited is seeking a skilled Metal Polisher Helper to join our team. As a key member of our metal finishing department, you will be responsible for assisting our metal polishers in achieving high-quality finishes on a variety of metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Transport Materials: Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment, ensuring timely and efficient movement of materials.
  • Manual Transport: Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Cleaning Solutions: Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to achieve optimal results.
  • Assist Metal Workers: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers as needed.
  • Material Sorting: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, ensuring accurate and efficient sorting.
  • Excess Metal Removal: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, maintaining high-quality finishes.
  • Cleanliness: Clean machines and immediate work areas, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Loading/Unloading: Load and unload vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials.
  • Polishing: Polish metal products to a mirror finish, meeting quality standards.
  • Work Orders: Read and interpret work orders, ensuring accurate completion of tasks.
  • Work Term and Language: This is a permanent position, and the primary language spoken in the workplace is English. The work schedule is 33 to 40 hours per week.
