About the Role

Mazergroup is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Attach components and adjust new farm equipment
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
Requirements
  • Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • Level three apprenticeship training
  • Level four apprenticeship training
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
