Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic

Park Paving Ltd. is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Maintenance Division based in Sherwood Park, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to heavy duty equipment services and repairs on our fleet in the Edmonton and surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating with supervisors, administration, and workers to complete work orders efficiently and effectively.
  • Working under limited supervision, leading, guiding, and working with others as required.
  • Filling out required paperwork, including forms such as work orders, hazard assessment sheets, daily time sheets, and repair lists.
  • Testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, adjusting, and replacing parts and equipment/controls as required.
  • Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance of all equipment or assets.
  • Working alone in the field servicing heavy duty equipment.
  • Completing CVIP inspections (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Compiling a list of repairs needed during inspections and going over with direct reports for repair authorization.
  • Filling out and handing in work orders upon job completion.
  • Keeping work areas, benches, and toolboxes clean and organized.
Requirements:
  • Licensed or apprentice Heavy Duty Technician with a valid driver's license.
  • Strong operating knowledge of a wide range of heavy-duty equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair potential problems in conjunction with direct supervisors and other employees.
  • Positive and respectful work environment.
