Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Database team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in establishing essential database infrastructure components for cloud-native applications. Your expertise will enable our Engineering teams to thrive as you collaborate across various departments to enhance the design and delivery of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automate cloud database infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
  • Develop tools and services that facilitate the efficient delivery of applications and infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to promote best practices, ensuring robust and high-performance database environments.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in creating high-quality cloud database infrastructure through automation.
  • Experience in developing and enhancing tools for administrative tasks, disaster recovery, and developer support.
  • Strong engagement in technical discussions to support system design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to assist engineering teams in developing, testing, debugging, and releasing scalable, resilient cloud-native applications.
  • Proficient in cloud computing concepts and solutions, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in coding with Python and at least one additional programming language (e.g., Golang, NodeJS, Bash).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience interacting with critical database systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Understanding of monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Experience in creating developer tooling (Python, Bash, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Familiarity with database engines such as MySQL and MongoDB.
