Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Advisor to join our team. As an Associate Advisor, you will play a key role in providing exceptional client service and support to our Investment Advisors. Your primary responsibility will be to deepen client relationships by offering sound advice and support to clients and to the Investment Advisor. Identifying and assisting growth of new business opportunities will also be key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects: help determine agenda and key topics, prepare documentation, execute post-meeting work. Attend client meetings when required.
  • Provide proactive client service with a problem-resolution focus and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Respond to client account inquiries and remain accountable to follow-up, as required.
  • Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation, and client service plans.
  • Identify and execute opportunities among existing client base for asset consolidation, referrals, etc.
  • Trading and / or Portfolio Rebalancing
  • Support advisory team and client through the Wealth Management process. Help gather relevant information, coordinate activities with Wealth Management specialists, track progress and follow up.
Requirements
  • Must-have
    • Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC
    • Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT)
    • 2-4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
    • University degree
    • A self-directed individual with a growth and goals-oriented mindset
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Nice-to-have
    • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Highly-developed client service skills
