Position Overview:
Swim Recruiting is on the lookout for a Senior Finance Manager to lead a team of two accountants and report directly to the Vice President of Finance. This role encompasses a comprehensive portfolio that includes corporate finance, operational finance, financial reporting, and the preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a varied work environment and be eager to develop new skills within a reputable and entrepreneurial organization.
Candidate Profile:
We seek a seasoned finance professional who excels in team collaboration, management, and coaching, and is adaptable to a range of finance and accounting responsibilities based on organizational needs. The successful candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in relevant accounting roles.
- Experience in a complex, fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
- Expertise in both operational and corporate finance.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments, including sales, operations, and marketing.
- A CPA designation is highly preferred.
- Relevant post-secondary education in accounting, commerce, or business.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- A strategic mindset with attention to detail, capable of balancing day-to-day tasks with long-term objectives.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to enjoy the work while maintaining professionalism.
Compensation:
The base salary will be commensurate with experience, with a range likely between $108,000 and $126,000. The upper end of the range is reserved for candidates with over 10 years of relevant experience and a strong alignment with the role's requirements. Additionally, there will be performance-based bonuses and competitive health and dental benefits.
Work Arrangement:
This is a full-time in-office position during the initial onboarding and training period, with the potential for remote work one day a week thereafter. We are open to considering candidates from across Canada who are committed to relocating for the role.
