Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will be instrumental in shaping our organization’s growth trajectory. This role is vital for providing precise cost assessments for manufacturing projects involving machined parts. Your proactive approach to managing cost estimates will directly influence our projects' success and the company's competitive edge.

Analysis of Technical Specifications

  1. Evaluate and interpret customer requests for quotes. Analyze technical drawings to determine necessary materials and processes.

Supplier Engagement

  1. Forge and nurture robust relationships with suppliers.
  2. Negotiate optimal pricing and delivery timelines. Solicit quotes for raw materials and additional processing services (such as painting, heat treatment, plating, etc.).

Management of Bids

  1. Rapidly and accurately evaluate production and subcontracting expenses. Collaborate with internal teams and liaise with clients to clarify project specifications.
  2. Organize and manage multiple quotation requests, ensuring completeness and timely submission.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Educational background in mechanical engineering, supply chain management, project management, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience in cost estimation, purchasing management, or a similar capacity within the machining sector.
  3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques, and strong skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and process enhancement.
  4. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities in both French and English, as interactions with English-speaking suppliers and clients are required.
