About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to join our team at Take Us For Granite Ontario Ltd. as a Machining Tool Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and preparing etching solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Set Up Machines: Safely operate and set up CNC machines to perform repetitive machining operations, ensuring high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.
  • Verify Dimensions: Verify the dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare Etching Solutions: Prepare etching solutions and immerse metal parts or workpieces into the solution to remove unwanted portions, following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, and clean and maintain the work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC): Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for CNC machine tools, ensuring accurate and efficient machining operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is noisy, and the successful candidate must be able to work in this environment.
