We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team at Original Joe's Restaurant & Bar. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and clean kitchen and work areas as needed.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, and ensure that all dishes are prepared to order.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen environment, or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Restaurant and bar environment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 35 to 40 hours per week.
- English Language: Work language is English.
