Key Responsibilities:

Research Design and Strategy:

Formulate and enhance qualitative research methodologies tailored to the project's objectives. Ensure clarity in research questions and alignment with the overarching goals of the study.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

Guide and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, offering support in qualitative data collection techniques, analysis, and interpretation. Facilitate regular team meetings to assess progress, address challenges, and maintain adherence to research protocols.

Oversight of Data Collection:

Supervise data collection activities to guarantee data accuracy and integrity. Provide training to team members on effective data collection practices and ethical considerations relevant to the research.

Data Analysis and Insights:

Lead the qualitative data analysis using suitable software and methodologies. Assist team members in translating complex data into understandable findings.

Dashboard Development and Reporting:

Collaborate with data analysts to create a big data dashboard that effectively presents research findings to stakeholders. Ensure the dashboard is intuitive and meets the informational needs of all stakeholders.

Communication and Reporting:

Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings, methodologies, and implications. Effectively communicate results to stakeholders through various formats including presentations and publications.

Qualifications:

Required:

Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Leisure Studies, Tourism Management, Social Sciences, Statistics, Data Science). Demonstrated experience in both quantitative and qualitative research design and methodologies. Experience in advising or mentoring students or junior researchers. Proficiency in qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS). Familiarity with big data tools and dashboard development is highly advantageous. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred:

Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities. Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities. Knowledge of statistical analysis and relevant software is a plus.
