Overview

The role is focused on maximizing sales effectiveness, driving growth, and enhancing account engagement within a designated region, market category, and/or supplier brand. This is achieved through proficiently marketing the company's offerings and delivering outstanding customer service to realize the full potential of our suppliers and clientele.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular sales visits to off-premise clients to foster customer relationships and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
  • Strategically analyze, plan, and maintain an efficient daily call schedule within the assigned territory.
  • Meet established monthly sales targets and placement goals.
  • Evaluate the entire territory and individual accounts to identify key selling, promotional, and merchandising opportunities.
  • Keep precise and current records of sales activities, competitive landscape, and payment performance for all accounts in the territory.
  • Identify significant market trends and dynamics, articulating the organization's strategies in relation to key product developments.
  • Set up and uphold appropriate point-of-sale materials within accounts, ensuring they are clean and up-to-date.
  • Engage in and support relevant trade exhibitions and supplier marketing initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate capture of order information, utilizing a specific sales system as part of daily responsibilities, including sales order entry.
  • Assist clients with inventory management, including product availability, new product placement, and stock rotation.
  • Participate in sales projects, account assessments, proposals, presentations, and other sales-related tasks.
  • Attend sales meetings, on-site training, and producer tours to stay informed about company policies and industry trends.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid and current driver's license.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Goal-oriented, assertive individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Passionate about creating and selling innovative concepts, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong analytical abilities with the capability to compute discounts.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams, along with proficient time management.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent activities include sitting and typing on a computer or mobile device.
  • Occasional activities may involve walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • May require occasional lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56 lbs.
