Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse will work within a client and family centered care model, applying Nursing Process, performing assessments, planning, providing nursing care, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to the expected competencies within the Entry to Practice Competencies, Scope of Practice, and Standards of Practice as outlined by BCCNM.
- Support clients and families to achieve and maintain optimal health, performing duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, sharing knowledge and expertise to provide comprehensive care.
- Operate related equipment, including proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- One (1) year of recent, related acute care or residential experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills within a specific clinical specialty or patient population dependent on the nature of the caseload.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to assign care and share knowledge with the multidisciplinary team, clients, and families.
- Ability to initiate and implement a plan of care.
