Job Title: NSWOC Nurse Specialist

CarePartners is seeking a highly skilled NSWOC Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Tillsonburg area. As a NSWOC Nurse Specialist, you will provide wound and ostomy consultation for patients in the clinic and community.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with NSWOC certification to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will have the flexibility to create your own schedule and work with a variety of patients, providing wound and ostomy care in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide wound and ostomy consultation for patients in the clinic and community
  • Assess and manage wounds and ostomies, including debridement and edema management
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in wound and ostomy care
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) diploma
  • Current College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registration in good standing
  • Graduate of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC, formerly CAET), CNA exam may be pending
  • Several years of escalating experience managing wounds and ostomies
  • Strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our patients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle as regular travel is required
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR Certification
  • Current immunization record including 2 step TB test
  • To protect our patients, we require a current vulnerable sector check and a clear background check
