About the Role

Pillar Nonprofit Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Outreach Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading Outreach Programming, including Outreach Housing staff and associated programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Oversee the recruitment, training, and support of staff and volunteers, providing day-to-day supervision and guidance.
  • Program Development: Develop and ensure the ongoing success of safety protocols for staff in the community, as well as develop processes and contribute to the successful delivery of funded programs through various levels of government.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Track and maintain statistical program information, ensuring compliance with funding contracts, and write reports as required.
  • Community Engagement: Oversee the development of programming, community projects, committees, and special events, as well as provide YOU representation to relevant community networks, coalitions, and events as required.
  • Brand Ambassador: Act as the YOU brand ambassador and ensure alignment of services across the agency.
  • Support and Representation: Provide on-call support, including after-hours support, to staff and serious occurrences.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Human Services, or Health Services from a recognized educational institution and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrated experience leading a diverse team of staff and volunteers (more than 10), with a clear understanding of program models including Housing First.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meeting targets and deadlines, and abilities to manage a variety of daily operations and special projects, with flexibility in scheduling to meet program needs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Transportation and Availability: Access to reliable transportation with a valid G driver's license, with the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
