Key Responsibilities- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth and even finish.
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a precise finish.
- Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, requiring attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Instruct apprentices in the art of concrete finishing, sharing your expertise and knowledge with the next generation of professionals.
- Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures, requiring a strong understanding of concrete repair techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure that concrete surfaces are constructed to the highest standards.
- Cement Finisher Trade Certification is required for this role.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
- Own transportation is required for this role.
