About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Les Soeurs de l'Assomption SV. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Meal Service: Serve meal trays and assist residents with feeding.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by making beds, emptying bedpans, and performing other related tasks.
  • Transportation: Safely transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • First Aid: Administer first aid in emergency situations.
  • Communication: Respond to call signals and determine residents' needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and patience.
