Your Role as an M&E Project Manager:

  • Oversee the planning of Mechanical, Electrical, and Information Technology scopes for construction projects, collaborating closely with the Project Superintendent to develop comprehensive construction schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing for mechanical and electrical work, facilitating prompt payments to subcontractors.
  • Monitor material and labor costs associated with Mechanical and Electrical components, ensuring quality reporting is consistently maintained.
  • Evaluate Mechanical and Electrical modifications from Consultants to verify completeness and compliance with standards, while assessing subcontractor pricing for these changes.
  • Deliver expert insights and proactively report on project delivery and performance, utilizing available tools and maintaining meticulous records of site infrastructure, equipment, and technical specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate the Mechanical, Electrical, and Information Technology aspects of construction projects.
  • Lead project meetings to assess job status regarding scheduling and budgeting, addressing complex technical challenges as they arise.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the client, ensuring all operational service aspects are effectively managed.
  • Continuously assess departmental workload to provide cost-effective and high-quality services.
  • Establish essential policies, procedures, action plans, and performance metrics to ensure high-quality service delivery and timely outcomes for clients.
  • Manage the comprehensive commissioning program for building systems, including coordination, testing, verification, and training.

Is This Position Right for You?

  • You possess extensive experience managing projects from inception to completion, including scope and specification development, tender management, contractor oversight, quality assessment, and project closure.
  • You have eight to ten years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical construction or a comparable mix of technical training and practical experience.
  • You are well-versed in maintenance and life-cycle budgeting, with a solid understanding of statutory and mandatory compliance requirements.
  • You have a proven track record of managing multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • You are an experienced manager with demonstrated skills in the construction sector.
  • You can prioritize and manage your workload with minimal supervision.
