Process Improvement Engineer

We are on the lookout for a Process Improvement Engineer to enhance our operations. This role necessitates an engineer well-versed in lean methodologies, quality assurance, metallurgy, or CNC programming.
Position Summary
The selected candidate will engage in professional engineering tasks that vary in complexity. Responsibilities will involve applying fundamental engineering principles to address assigned challenges. The role requires leveraging engineering knowledge to fulfill a broad spectrum of technical assignments within the company's engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine investigations or tests related to the development of new designs, methods, materials, or processes, applying specialized knowledge in various scientific and engineering fields.
- Gather, correlate, and analyze technical data necessary for task completion. Prepare reports, charts, graphs, and other documentation, providing recommendations to senior management.
- Initiate and develop designs for a range of products, processes, components, or equipment, requiring moderate complexity analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with ISO-9001 Quality Management and ISO-14000 Environmental Management Systems.
- Permanent work authorization is required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Oracle, and Manufacturing Systems.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with lean tools including 5S, time studies, standard work, SMED, value stream mapping, and TPM.
- Monitor daily production targets to identify improvement areas and track progress through visual reporting.
- Oversee daily production enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through team meetings, standard work practices, and accountability measures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading continuous improvement projects.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
