This role will involve working on various projects around the greater Saint John area, with the possibility of travel to other parts of the province as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a highway and other paving equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Rake and redistribute asphalt mix to prepare the area for rolling.
  • Spread asphalt using efficient techniques and maintain a good pace.
  • Shovel excess asphalt and sweep up debris.
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects effectively.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a construction environment is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Effective communication skills to ensure project success.
  • Commitment to working safely and responsibly.
