We are seeking a highly skilled Kinesiologist to join our team at Community Therapists. As a Kinesiologist on our Return-to-Work team, you will play a crucial role in helping clients recover from physical injuries and return to their pre-accident employment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Job Site Visits (JSVs) to determine critical job demands or complete job coaching
- Perform functional screening assessments
- Develop and monitor Graduated Return to Work (GRTW) plans
- Provide education on symptom management and ergonomic strategies to facilitate a durable return to work
- Communicate with physicians, WorkSafeBC board officers, and other members of the client's healthcare team to ensure a well-coordinated program for clients
- At least one year of experience in conducting Job Site Visits and GRTWs
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
- Member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK)
- Individual professional liability insurance
- Reliable vehicle for work
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self-confidence, and self-awareness
- Experience working with an insurance fee payer (e.g., WorkSafe BC, ICBC, or other)
- Competitive hourly rate of $57.00-$70.00
