We are seeking a highly skilled Kinesiologist to join our team at Community Therapists. As a Kinesiologist for Return to Work Support Services, you will play a crucial role in helping clients recover from physical injuries and return to their pre-accident employment.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Job Site Visits (JSVs) to determine critical job demands, completing job coaching, functional screening assessments, and developing and monitoring Graduated Return to Work (GRTW) plans. You will also provide education on symptom management and ergonomic strategies to facilitate a durable return to work.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Job Site Visits (JSVs) to determine critical job demands
- Complete job coaching and functional screening assessments
- Develop and monitor Graduated Return to Work (GRTW) plans
- Provide education on symptom management and ergonomic strategies
- Communicate with physicians, WorkSafeBC board officers, and other members of the client's healthcare team
- At least one year of experience in conducting Job Site Visits and GRTWs
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
- Member of BCAK
- Individual professional liability insurance
- Reliable vehicle for work
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with an insurance fee payer (e.g. WorkSafe BC, ICBC, or other)
- Competitive hourly rate: $57.00-$70.00
