About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Truck Driver in our Central Laundry facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of soiled and clean linen to various sites within the hospital.

Your duties will include:

  • Loading and unloading washers and linen carts from the truck
  • Responsible for proper chemical balance in washers
  • Soiled linen sorting, shakeout, and folding
  • Transporting soiled and clean linen to various sites
  • Completing all required documentation, driver's logs, and vehicle circle checks
  • Performing various duties on the clean side of the laundry facility

We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Grade 12 / GED
  • Previous industrial washer experience with knowledge of laundry chemicals
  • 1 year relevant experience required
  • Ability to safely operate a standard transmission vehicle
  • Clean driving abstract
  • Previous laundry and linen experience
  • Class 5 Driver's License

Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French being preferred.

Hours
  • Permanent, part-time (40%) position; 30 hours bi-weekly
  • Shifts are Saturday and Sunday; 7:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
Compensation and Benefits

$21.69 Hourly
