We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our Machine Learning team at Klue. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying high-quality backend systems that enable the extraction of insights from large datasets.

Our team builds and maintains complex data pipelines that process millions of data points daily, including news articles, press releases, web pages, and user interactions. We utilize a range of machine learning techniques, including classification, clustering, recommendation, and retrieval augmented generation.

As a Backend Engineer, you will be working closely with our development team to design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems. This includes:

  • Big Data - Large Datasets
  • Ingesting and indexing hundreds of thousands of news articles, web pages, and marketing data points daily.

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with expertise in Python, relational databases, and RESTful APIs. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading technical design discussions and writing technical design documents.
  • Providing technical guidance and direction to the engineering team.
  • Designing, implementing, and deploying RESTful APIs.
  • Working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

We believe in using the right tools for the job and are open to exploring new technologies and approaches. If you have experience with NoSQL databases, such as Elasticsearch or MongoDB, that's a plus.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate good judgment when making architectural decisions and understands how those decisions fit into the bigger picture. If you're passionate about building scalable and efficient backend systems and have a strong background in machine learning, we'd love to hear from you.
