Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Courier Service Supervisor to oversee our logistics operations at NovaXpress Courier Services. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 to 44 hours per week with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment

The role is based in an urban setting, where you will manage the flow of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. The position demands a high level of organization and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Organize the processes for handling mail and packages.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on operations.
  • Address work-related issues, providing technical guidance and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review the work of team members.
  • Order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all equipment and machinery.
  • Manage package handling operations efficiently.
  • Train staff on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, including vehicle mileage and fuel costs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Operate vehicles for the pick-up and delivery of items.
Security and Safety Requirements
  • Must be bondable and able to pass a criminal record check.
  • Basic security clearance is required.
  • Driver's license and driving record checks will be conducted.
Transportation Information

A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are essential for this role.

Physical Requirements

The position involves working in a fast-paced environment and may require handling heavy loads. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are crucial.
