Fast Freight Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance and repair reports.
- Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Communication Systems: Experience with Citizens band (CB) radio and operation of GPS and other navigation equipment
- Transportation Experience: Long-haul, national, and international transportation experience
- Security and Safety: Valid passport, basic security clearance, and a clean driving record
As a Truck Driver - Long Haul with Fast Freight Transport Ltd., you will be working on the road, traveling to various locations, and spending extended periods away from home. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
