About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health, performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Sonography Canada certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Comprehension of technical language to review manuals and participate in discussions
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Registration with multiple ultrasound credentials is an asset
  • Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset
Hours
  • Long-assignment, full-time position
  • Approximately 18 months
  • Call back, stand by, and shift work required, including days, evenings, and weekend and holiday coverage
Compensation and Incentives

$39.96 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan
