Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Vector Advisors Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including journal entries, trial balance preparation, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office.
  • Area of Specialization: Accounting.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, overtime required, and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, judgement, organized, and time management.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees, and facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
