We are excited to present a full-time opportunity for a Logistics Warehouse Specialist who will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. The Logistics Warehouse Specialist will collaborate within a dynamic team, playing a vital role in the efficient processing of customer orders and stock transfers. This position involves loading and unloading vehicles to ensure optimal turnaround times, addressing the operational needs of Wakefield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick and process customer orders along with Wakefield/Castrol stock transfers.
  • Efficiently load and unload vehicles.
  • Assist in filling and/or decanting totes within the plant or warehouse.
  • Engage in warehouse control and inventory cycle counting.
  • Provide periodic support for the Receiver function.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization as needed.
  • Participate in Safety and Compliance Seminars, consistently aiming to uphold a safe working environment.
  • Conduct required forklift inspection procedures.
  • Coordinate with shipping personnel as necessary.
  • Work alongside Warehouse and Distribution Managers to organize shipments of packaged goods using company fleets or external carriers.
  • Receive guidance from the Warehouse Lead Hand as required.
  • Support and promote adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Engage in special projects and other participatory activities as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Self-motivated, diligent, and capable of working effectively within a team.
  • Physically fit, able to lift case goods up to 60 pounds and manage drum stock.
  • Demonstrates ownership of responsibilities and integrity in all work aspects.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, supporting initiatives to achieve superior performance and customer service metrics.
  • A team player who respects colleagues and is driven to meet departmental goals.
  • Possesses strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Familiar with work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required to meet operational demands.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with strong reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods & US DOT regulations.
  • Proficient in internet navigation, with some PC skills or the willingness to learn.
  • Lift truck experience with valid certification or the ability to obtain certification.
