About the Role

Capilano University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Identity and Access Services team. As a key member of our IT Services department, you will be responsible for implementing and managing our identity and access management program, ensuring the security and integrity of our digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement identity and access management processes to ensure secure access to digital solutions, including data backups, restores, and data archives.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Identity Management (MIM) and Active Directory FS (ADFS) to ensure seamless authentication and authorization.
  • Develop and maintain role-based security matrices for access to digital solutions across the university community.
  • Participate in incident response and provide expert-level support for security breaches.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with 1 year in a recent leadership role with direct responsibility for a cybersecurity program.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a cybersecurity program and managing identity and access management processes.
  • Industry relevant designations such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, ITIL, TOGAF.
  • Experience in Microsoft Identity Management (MIM) and Active Directory FS (ADFS), Azure security architecture, and ITIL framework.
  • Broad technical knowledge relating to cybersecurity practices, including patching, firewalls, network configurations, phishing, and software deployment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

What We Offer

Capilano University offers a competitive salary range of $92,139-$122,852 per annum, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. We also offer opportunities for performance-based pay and career progression.
