Job Title: Production Supervisor

Darling International Canada Inc. is a leading provider of natural and sustainable ingredients for the food, feed, and fuel sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to lead our rendering production facility in Dundas, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of hourly plant production employees, ensuring health and safety activities, product quality, and optimizing resource utilization. This role involves promoting staff development, maintaining a positive work environment, and supporting the implementation of capital and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of hourly plant production employees
  • Ensure health and safety activities and product quality
  • Optimize resource utilization and promote staff development
  • Maintain a positive work environment and support team members
  • Lead and complete projects as assigned by the Production Manager
  • Encourage process improvements in all operational functions
  • Support the implementation of capital and operational improvements
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing production environment
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in engineering, science, or a related technical field (an asset)
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity promoting a teamwork approach
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring to assist in successful staff development
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with a positive outlook
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to perform multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
  • High level of computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Oracle and Kronos a plus)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
