About the Role

The successful applicant will join our Energy Transition Group, working remotely from Colombia. As a Geophysical Analyst, you will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and reporting on microseismic data related to Energy Transition.

You will work closely with multiple groups, including Data Processing, Specialists, Software, Wireline, Field Services, and Project Management teams, to ensure deadlines are met and client deliverables are optimized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project setup, configuration, and optimization
  • Microseismic Data Processing (picking, event location, source parameter calculations)
  • Maintain and monitor site performance and health, and update site parameters as needed
  • Data Interpretation
  • Report Writing
  • On-call response
  • Potential for Office support
  • Integration of geological and geophysical data sets
  • Modeling/Feasibility Analyses and array designs
  • Participation in client meetings/presentations
  • Potential to participate in advanced microseismic analyses
  • Potential for short-term travel to client meetings or conferences
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of English
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field
  • P.Geo, P.Eng, P.Geoph, or the ability to obtain these designations is considered an asset
  • 0-2 years of work experience in Seismology/microseismic is considered an asset
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication (oral and written)
  • Ability to continuously learn
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ESG software suite
  • Ability to program is an asset
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning
  • Knowledge of the principles of geophysics and microseismics
  • Ability to learn new computer software
  • Possess excellent organizational skills
