Key Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:- Oversee plant operations and manage assets effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Act as the primary representative for the company during audits by regulatory officials.
- Serve as the liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies, as well as community organizations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on process optimization, environmental health and safety (EH&S) performance, cost reduction, personnel development, budgeting, and capital projects.
- Guarantee adherence to all federal, provincial, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Manage the implementation and upkeep of all EH&S programs and ensure compliance with certifications.
- Maintain manufacturing processes, packaging, and inventory of raw materials and finished products within established guidelines while meeting customer service expectations.
- Develop and execute plant manufacturing expense and capital budgets.
- Introduce new process technologies at the facility.
- Implement quality assurance programs, including ISO registration and maintenance, as well as improvement plans and standardized best practices in quality control.
- Oversee the annual objective setting and performance appraisal process, focusing on personnel development and training.
- Support the creation of a manufacturing strategic plan that aligns with commercial growth objectives from a production perspective.
- Maintain site assets and optimize the lifecycle of equipment.
- Promote continuous improvement and standardization in safety, productivity, cost reduction, employee satisfaction, and quality.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically within the chemical sector.
- Strong skills in communication, leadership, personnel development, and decision-making.
- Candidates must possess authorization to work in Canada.
