About the Role
We are seeking experienced Geologists or Geologists-in-Training to join our team at Beryl Mining Services Ltd. as Core Loggers for an upcoming oilsands exploration drilling program. Successful candidates will be based in Calgary, working in a core logging facility. This role requires a minimum 1 to 3 years of professional experience, with preference given to those with oilsands mining experience. This is a fixed-term contract with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities
• Core logging of oilsands geological formations
• Geological descriptions and defining geological intervals for oilsands exploration
• Collection and preparation of geological samples for analysis
• Data analysis, interpretation, and correlation
• Working effectively both independently and in a team setting with other geologists and technicians
• Compliance with specified core logging standards
• Compliance with Health and Safety procedures and policies

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Earth Science
• Registration with APEGA as a Geologist-in-Training (G.I.T.); or P.Geo.
• Experience with oilsands mining is an asset, especially oilsands exploration and geology
• Available to work a regular schedule in a core logging facility in Calgary, AB
• Must be physically fit to perform daily tasks, including regularly lifting and managing drill core and drill boxes
• Successful completion of background reference checks, as well as verification of education, credentials, and legal ability to work in Canada

Additional Information
• Monday to Friday, 8-hour work days
• Working at a lab/core logging facility in northeast Calgary
• Role supports the Geology and Mine Services division of a major oilsands operator
