About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Moving Truck Driver to join our team at Hercules Moving Company Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
    • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
    • Accurately complete and maintain all necessary documentation, including driver logbook and inspection reports
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Experience and Skills
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
