The Opportunity: Heavy Duty Field Mechanic

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Aerial Equipment Division as a Heavy Duty Field Mechanic. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse fleet of aerial construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a range of aerial equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on customer job sites, ensuring equipment readiness.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, execute necessary repairs, and rigorously test functionality on customer premises.
  • Provide a consistently high standard of customer service in all interactions with clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, and work orders.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety protocols.
Your Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of proven mechanical experience, preferably in the construction equipment sector.
  • Experience working with aerial equipment is highly desirable.
  • A Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (heavy equipment or truck and transport) is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Possess a valid Class G driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driving record.
  • Maintain a complete set of tools essential for the role.
  • Be available to work overtime as required.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Showcase excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, maintaining professionalism in interactions with colleagues, clients, and other parties.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
