We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist I to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct HPLC, dissolution, and physical testing analysis using established procedures.
- Document all experimental data in accordance with ALCOA guidelines.
- Troubleshoot system suitability failures and implement solutions.
- Recognize and report unexpected or OOS results immediately to the Supervisor and conduct laboratory investigations.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
- Perform alternating or rotating shift work as required.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
- Experience with common laboratory equipment and operations.
- Understanding of basic chemistry and chromatographic separations.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative chemical or microbiological analysis.
- Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach to scientific problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modeling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives.
- Maintain strict compliance with Patheon quality systems Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Actively engage in departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Demonstrate client and patient consciousness at all times.
- Understand Key Performance Indicators and strive to improve team performance.
- Embrace change and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Consistently strive to improve skills and knowledge in the field.
