Work Environment:

This role may require participation in on-call duties, serving as an escalation point during critical incidents.
About You:
As a DevSecOps Engineer at Peoples Group, you will play a vital role in embedding security throughout our software development and deployment processes. Your expertise will connect development, operations, and security, ensuring that security is integrated into the infrastructure from inception and maintained throughout the application lifecycle. You will be tasked with implementing and managing automated tools and technologies to prevent vulnerabilities, overseeing cloud environments, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. This position demands a proactive security approach, involving ongoing risk assessments, threat modeling, and the adoption of cutting-edge security solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to promote secure coding practices, foster a security-first culture, and educate colleagues on the latest security threats and mitigation strategies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Communicate security requirements to product teams and validate their implementation prior to deployment.
- Develop and share best practices, patterns, and solutions for CI/CD.
- Create action plans to address shortcomings and challenges in CI/CD platforms/tools/solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions for infrastructure and security needs.
- Architect and deploy robust security solutions for cloud environments across various platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Conduct Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment sessions to identify and mitigate potential security threats early in the development lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain a Security Center of Excellence for all new products and significant changes to ensure security requirements are met before production.
- Experience with security automation and machine learning.
- Integrate, monitor, and optimize SAST/DAST platforms.
- Clearly communicate technical information across different organizational levels.
- Evaluate and implement advanced cloud-native security tools and technologies.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies in cloud security, AI, and automation, applying innovative solutions to enhance the security framework.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (6+ years) as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a similar capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AZ-400.
- Extensive technical knowledge of various DevSecOps toolkits, including Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Terraform, Veracode, Git/Version Control Software, or similar technologies.
- Strong familiarity with information security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, and CCM).
- Knowledge of DevOps Automation tools (Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of PCI-DSS, SOC standards.
- Familiarity with Prisma Cloud, SIEM, SOC, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar services.
- Knowledge of API Security, Container Security, AWS Cloud Security.
- Proficient in Amazon AWS policy, configuration, and security management tools.
- Extensive experience with Azure Resource Manager templates and configuration.
- Deep understanding of SDLC best practices, including OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25, and ASVS levels.
- Highly creative problem-solver.
Compensation:
Peoples Group is proud to offer employees a competitive annual salary along with a discretionary profit-sharing opportunity. The salary for this position will range between $130,000 and $150,000 per year, depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience of the selected candidate.
