Senior Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a key member of our Security Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating the deployment and integration of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, implementation, and coordination of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing security solutions.
- Apply your expertise to ensure all TD areas interacting with Endpoint Threat Protection technologies are implemented correctly and have the necessary capabilities, processes, and documentation to operate effectively.
- Contribute to project activities such as scoping and estimating project efforts, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation measures.
- Build relationships and support internal teams, leveraging Endpoint Threat Protection tools for their deliverables.
- Partner with Operations to integrate with appropriate tools and processes for efficiency improvements via automation.
- Monitor and control costs associated with your work, including contributions to negotiations of third-party contracts/agreements.
- Collaborate with governance and control groups to provide subject matter expertise and consult on risk and compliance issues related to Engineering technology and tools.
- Work with technology partners to research and analyze current state system capabilities and define technology solutions options and recommendations.
- Gain knowledge in your area, stay abreast of technology trends and developments, and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools, and techniques.
- Work with vendors to support business case development, including benefits identification, RFI/RFP, and service level agreements.
- Coach new or less experienced colleagues and serve as a reference point throughout requirements management life cycle.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be part of the broader Security Engineering team, responsible for planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting security solutions that protect endpoints in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
Requirements- Experience and proficiency with the Microsoft Defender Platform and technology, including design, implementation, concepts, practices, and administration.
- Proficiency with solution, policy, and architecture design, as well as experience implementing and supporting endpoint security tools, particularly EDR, FIM, Security Automation/Orchestration platforms, and similar tools.
- Demonstrated operational proficiency and experience, particularly with OS administration and automation of tasks in Windows and Linux environments through scripts.
- Proficiency, experience, and sound knowledge of other design activities used to secure systems and networks.
- Proficient in troubleshooting application issues.
- Customer Service in an IT context, including communications to technical and non-technical teams and individuals.
- A strong desire to work and learn independently, and able to contribute in a team environment.
- Good to have: Familiarity with operating or developing in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Compute Platform, software development experience and knowledge.
