Commercial Finance Group Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Commercial Finance Group at Equitable Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the management of our construction portfolio, providing guidance and support to our Account Managers, and ensuring the successful delivery of our commercial lending services.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of our construction portfolio, including the review and approval of commercial credit facilities, and the development of strategies to mitigate risk.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to our Account Managers, and lead the development of our team's skills and expertise.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth and development within our business, and work with our stakeholders to implement new initiatives and strategies.
- Risk Management: Analyze and mitigate risks associated with our construction portfolio, and ensure that our lending practices are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders, including our broker partners and internal teams.
- Performance Management: Monitor and report on the performance of our team and our portfolio, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Education: Post-secondary education in business or finance.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressively senior experience in commercial real estate lending, with a specific focus on construction lending.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of the construction lending process, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
