About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at 6414796 Canada Inc. as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to roofs
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
  • Install sheet metal flashings to ensure watertight seals
  • Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Repair roofing systems to ensure they are watertight and secure
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Flexibility and adaptability
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in various locations, including residential and commercial properties. The work environment will be physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling required.

Language and Work Hours

The primary language of work is English, and the successful candidate will work 30 to 45 hours per week.
