Join Our Team of Medical Specialists
We are seeking a skilled Chiropodist to join our established team of referring Medical Specialists at LMC Healthcare. As a Chiropodist, you will have the opportunity to work with a cohesive team of professionals, including Endocrinologists, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Nutritionists, and the Centricity research team, to provide exceptional patient care.
About the Opportunity
- We have a well-established patient referral system from both our LMC Endocrinologists and external referring physicians, allowing you to efficiently build a larger patient base.
- You will have direct support from our Manager of Medical Education and Clinical Operations to assist with onboarding, product conversions, supplies, SOPs, and IT.
- Our Medical Director will provide clinical support with difficult or unique cases.
- We offer thorough online training programs to assist with the onboarding process.
Responsibilities
- Provide full scope of practice Chiropody according to the standards of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
- Provide patient care, including nail and callous care, wart treatments, treating chronic and acute wounds, performing soft tissue surgeries, biomechanical and gait analysis for offloading purposes.
- Collaborate with an inter-professional team, including Endocrinologists, Nurses, Diabetes Educators, Pharmacists, etc.
- Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are well maintained.
- Provide foot education to patients and other local professionals.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Expertise in providing care to individuals with diabetes.
- Proficiency in use of computers.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
- Graduate Diploma from a recognized school of Chiropody with professional certification (D.Ch. or D.Pod.M.).
- Member in good standing with College of Chiropodists without limitations.
