Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prioritize patient referrals.

Position Overview:

As the Physiotherapist I, you will deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at helping clients achieve optimal physical function and independence in various health contexts. Your role will encompass prevention, assessment, treatment, education, and case management, ensuring active participation from clients and their families in their care journey.

You will collaborate with patients and families to determine and evaluate effective rehabilitation strategies, while also engaging in interprofessional teams to enhance service delivery. Your contributions will extend to quality improvement initiatives and peer mentoring, as well as supervising students and junior staff.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Qualifications:

Preferred experience includes a minimum of 5 years in oncology settings, 3 years in palliative care, neurorehabilitation expertise, and certification as a Lymphedema Therapist. Recent professional development in oncology is also desirable.
