Job Title: Construction Site Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to join our team at Sault Ste. Marie. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of construction teams, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, including timelines and milestones.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure projects are completed to the required standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, time sheets, and material delivery reports.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
