Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at GHM Enterprises Inc dba Smart Dolphin Children's Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily care and education of our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and activities.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Meal and Rest Periods: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observations and Meetings: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • School-Age Programs: Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: Experience an asset or equivalent experience
