Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our Southern Ontario Mine Water Team in Mississauga, ON. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical guidance to junior consultants and support senior consultants in water-related technical solutions and designs. You will also contribute to multi-disciplinary projects both locally, regionally, and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will work with interdisciplinary project teams to deliver complex water resources engineering projects.
  • You will provide technical services related to mine water resources engineering, including hydrologic assessments, water balances, and dam breach analysis.
  • You will use your knowledge and skills to contribute to the design of water diversions and control structures, and to provide technical solutions and designs for water-related projects.
  • You will manage projects and teams, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with colleagues across Canada and globally.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience in water resources consulting projects is required.
  • A valid professional designation in ON, or actively pursuing designation, is required.
  • An unrestricted full Class G Driver's License (or equivalent) that is valid in the province of Ontario, a clean Driver's Abstract, and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite of products is required.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills are required.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, hydraulic structure design, and GIS mapping software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of mine water management and fluency in other languages, such as French and Spanish, are assets.
