Key Responsibilities- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Ensure that sales workers are assigned to duties that align with their skills and strengths, and that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Authorize Payments: Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Order Merchandise: Order merchandise and supplies as needed to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
- Authorize Returns: Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise to customers and ensure that all sales are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform business decisions.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other problems that may impact the store's operations.
- Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
- Supervise Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff members to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Setting: Retail business.
- Supervision: 3-4 people or 5-10 people.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, and ability to multitask.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
