About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembler and Technician to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As an Assembler and Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly and testing of aircraft engines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble aircraft engines and sub-assemblies according to assembly floor sheets (AFS), ensuring attention to the use and care of equipment, tools, and safe working practices.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of the product are maintained at all times.
  • Sign applicable assembly floor sheets (AFS) when operations are complete.
  • Execute engine pre-dress, test, and post-dress according to assembly floor sheets (AFS).
  • Document build, test, or strip activities to ensure smooth workflow and coordination between shifts.
  • Check that tools, equipment, and parts are clean, FOD, and damage-free prior to and after use, ensuring proper care and storage of tools, equipment, and parts during assembly, test, and disassembly of engines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting during assembly, test, or disassembly of engines, performing various tasks such as cleaning hardware, etc.
  • Contribute to FOD prevention, continuous improvement, and EHS cultures.
  • Shift work required (2 weeks days, 2 weeks afternoons on rotation), alternate shifts may be required at times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of technical college in aircraft trades.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field preferred.
  • Awareness of EH&S, 6S, and continuous improvement would be an asset.
  • Must be detail and result-oriented.
  • Must possess a good capacity for teamwork and effective communications.
  • Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to problem-solve effectively.
  • Must display drive and initiative.
  • Able to support weekday & weekend OT as required.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English.
