Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Camrose Motel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, as well as supervising and coordinating the activities of our cleaning staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our cleaning staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist Cleaners: Assist our cleaning staff in performing their duties, as needed.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate our cleaning and maintenance activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Mentorship Programs: Develop and implement mentorship programs to support the development of our staff, including those with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
