LPN Specialist Responsibilities:

Overview: Deliver fundamental medical and nursing assistance, including monitoring vital signs and managing catheter placements, ensuring patient comfort, engaging in health discussions with patients, and communicating patient conditions to registered nurses and healthcare providers.

Key Duties:
- Assess and determine patient needs through telephone triage.

- Administer medications, including injections, and accurately document treatments as mandated by the specialty.

- Identify educational needs for patients and their families, providing necessary guidance.

- Recognize and appropriately respond to emergency situations.

- Comply with Clinical Services policies and procedures for documenting patient information.

- Ensure a smooth patient flow to uphold the efficiency of the medical office.

Required Qualifications: Must be a graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program and hold an active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience or training in a healthcare setting as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Additional Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience in a primary care environment. Current BLS certification or completion within three months of hire.

Medical Assistant Professional Responsibilities:

Overview: Medical Assistants carry out routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of physician offices and other healthcare facilities. Alongside administrative responsibilities, Medical Assistants perform clinical duties in compliance with state regulations.

Key Duties:
- Prepare and assist patients for their office visits.

- Support physicians during medical office procedures.

- Administer medications, including injections, and document treatments as required by the specialty.

- Follow nursing policies and procedures for accurate documentation in patient medical records.

- Maintain the integrity and professionalism of the office environment.

- Ensure current CPR certification is maintained.

- Stay informed on new policies and procedures as well as Nursing Update newsletters.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience or training in a healthcare facility as a Medical Assistant.

Additional Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience in a primary care setting. Current BLS certification or completion within three months of hire.

Note: A sign-on bonus will be provided after the successful completion of the probationary period. A one (1) year commitment is required. This offer is applicable to new employees only.
