Job Summary

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in London, Ontario. As a key member of our Construction & Forestry location, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, ordering parts and performing repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
  • Utilize computer systems, instruments, and hand and power tools to document and complete tasks.
  • Accurately document work orders, machine information, and time taken, ensuring high-quality customer service.
  • Continuously assess service task hazards, ensuring work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel, utilizing parts catalogues.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with customers, service teams, and branch personnel.
  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude, with experience in diagnostics and calibration work.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
  • Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • A commitment to high-quality customer service with a strong people orientation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
